I would say that this is the most powerful image in my series about graffiti as a means of immortality, as it best illustrates the heart and soul of what the series is trying to capture. By etching the name of her baby girl into the wood of one of Indiana's many covered bridges, a mother has given her daughter immortality within the scope of memory. As long as the wood of the bridge lasts, so will the name of her baby girl, and the story that she died at the young age of just under 11 months old.
