Description

John White, commander of Sir Walter Raleigh's third expedition to the New World, was the first person to draw the male Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly in 1578. Tiger Swallowtail's are found throughout most of the eastern United States, from New England to Florida, and from the coast all the way through the Great Plains states.
